Baby Holden {Sacramento Newborn Photographer}

This sweet little baby was so fabulous to photograph. He slept most of the time, but was awake just long enough to get a few pictures of him with his eyes open. His big sister adores him and his Grandma is soaking up her time with him. There is so much love in their home and this little one is lucky to be in their family.

I love that they had specific outfits that they wanted him to be photographed in. These darling (and extremely soft) little booties and hat were made by Grandma--from scratch. She and her husband own cashmere goats...so she spun the yarn herself!

Mom is one of the most amazing women I know...and she looks fabulous (I couldn't believe how good she looked for having a baby just a week ago!)

I snuck in a picture with Grandma...

Here is the outfit little Holden went home from the hospital in...

Mint Thins

If you are in need of making some festive treats, here is a simple one that is definitely a pleaser!

Mint Thins

Ingredients:

1 pkg. (8 squares) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted, slightly cooled (I just use chocolate chips and it works just dandy)
1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
1 sleeve RITZ Crackers (36 crackers)
1 candy cane (6 inch), crushed

Directions:

MIX chocolate and extract.

DIP crackers in chocolate, turning to completely coat each cracker. Carefully scrape off excess chocolate. Place crackers in single layer on waxed paper-covered baking sheets; sprinkle with crushed candy.

REFRIGERATE 30 min. or until chocolate is firm.

Glitter Star Ornaments

Isn't this a pretty ornament? Got it in the mail from my fabulous Mother-in-Law. Every Christmas season, the family gets together on the first weekend of December--eats out and then makes a special ornament. Since we missed it this year, we were mailed one. I missed being with them, but was happy that they would still include us in their creations. Want to make one? Here's the tutorial:

Thanks Martha!

Made with Love by Mrs. Claus

If you are still looking for a Christmas gift...one that you can make quickly, this is perfect. It didn't take long at all, and I am not experienced whatsoever. I'm so so so excited to see Ruby open this Christmas day! I am someday wanting to make a quiet book, but for now, this will do until I have enough time to dedicate to a quiet book. Perfect to take to church. Click here for the tutorial.

Snow

This will probably be the closest thing to snow we get this season. I miss not waking up to snow blanketing the ground and having the hope of a white Christmas. I guess this will have to do. Thanks for the snowflakes, Mom!
